I like making things: food, recipes, illustrations, and stories. I chalk this up to my childhood on a small farm in Greenwich, CT, with creative parents who let me mess up the kitchen with baking projects, plant herbs, and spread out all my paints on my very own drawing table.

As a Culinary Editor at Food Network, I write articles, develop recipes, and produce and edit cooking shows for the brand’s direct to consumer streaming service, Food Network Kitchen. In the past, I worked as a Food Editor at PureWow and Real Simple magazine.

When I’m not cooking, I channel my food knowledge into illustrations. My most recent project was Erin McDowell’s cookbook, The Book on Pie: Everything You Need to Know to Bake Perfect Pies. I also illustrate for brands, restaurants, and food lovers around the world.

I went to Williams College, where I received a BA in English and Studio Art and worked in a professional bakery. I then got a degree in professional culinary arts from The International Culinary Center in New York City and staged at L'Ecole and Le Bernardin restaurants.

I split my time between New York City and my family’s farm, which is replete with a veggie garden, chickens a goat and a mini horse.
